Nteasee House Art Gallery Features Edrose Art Gallery Exhibition

Renowned Ghanaian artist Edward Lamptey brings vibrant, culturally rich works from the Edrose Art Gallery to the Nteasee House Art Gallery in East Legon, Accra — curated by Malachi "Mac" Elliott.

The Nteasee House Art Gallery continues to establish itself as a cultural hub in East Legon, Accra, with a stunning exhibition featuring works from the Edrose Art Gallery by renowned Ghanaian artist Edward Lamptey.

The exhibition was made possible through the partnership between Lamptey and Malachi "Mac" Elliott, the Nteasee House Art Gallery Partner and Curator. Elliott, who curates the rotating gallery at Nteasee House, has been instrumental in bringing authentic Ghanaian and diaspora art to the boutique bed & breakfast's cultural space.

The Art of Edward Lamptey

Edward Lamptey is known for his bold, intricate compositions that weave together geometric patterns, Adinkra symbolism, and vibrant color palettes rooted in West African visual traditions. His works are a celebration of African identity, heritage, and the spiritual connection between past and present.

One particularly striking piece features a regal African figure adorned in gold jewelry and traditional patterned cloth, set against a richly detailed background of interlocking geometric forms. The work speaks to the dignity, beauty, and cultural wealth of African heritage — themes that resonate deeply with the Nteasee House mission of celebrating Afrofuturistic design and cultural pride.

Art as a Pillar of Development

The Nteasee House Art Gallery is more than a display space — it is a core part of KGEDC's Arts, Culture & Entertainment focus area. By featuring works from Ghanaian artists like Edward Lamptey, the gallery creates economic opportunities for artists, exposes guests to authentic African art, and reinforces Nteasee House's identity as a cultural destination in Accra.

The partnership with the Edrose Art Gallery represents KGEDC's commitment to supporting the creative economy in Ghana and building bridges between local artists and an international audience of guests, investors, and cultural enthusiasts who visit Nteasee House.

"Art tells the story of who we are. At Nteasee House, every piece on our walls connects our guests to the rich cultural heritage of Ghana and the African diaspora. Edward Lamptey's work does exactly that — it celebrates our identity with boldness and beauty."
