Diaspora Dialogues at Nteasee House:
A Powerful Partnership with NuGhana Expat Center

We recently hosted a very successful Diaspora Dialogues gathering at Nteasee House in East Legon, Accra, in partnership with NuGhana Expat Center. The conversation was calm, solutions-focused, and deeply affirming — a space where returnees, diasporans, and Ghanaians could share lived experiences and practical pathways forward.

The Diaspora Dialogues are about more than conversation. They are about community — building trust, sharing resources, and creating a safer, more informed experience for those choosing to live, work, and invest in Ghana.

At Nteasee House, we believe hospitality can be a bridge — a welcoming place where people gather, learn, and leave with deeper connection. That is why our partnership with NuGhana Expat Center felt so aligned.

Together, we convened a room full of thoughtful voices to discuss diaspora safety, police response, emergencies, and justice experiences in Ghana. The tone was respectful and practical — focused on what helps, what needs to change, and how we can move forward with dignity.

What made it successful

  • A calm, solutions-focused format that welcomed real stories without sensationalism
  • A diverse audience: diasporans, returnees, descendants, Ghanaians, and Africans living in Ghana
  • A shared commitment to practical safety education and community accountability
  • A warm, beautiful setting that encouraged openness and connection
  • A packed room — the turnout exceeded expectations, showing just how much this conversation was needed

About the partnership

The Diaspora Safety & Justice Dialogue was hosted by NuGhana International Expat Center in collaboration with Nteasee House, ACCP Representatives, and Community Partners. The event took place on Friday, June 5th, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Nteasee House in East Legon, Accra.

NuGhana Expat Center is a vital resource for diasporans and expats navigating life in Ghana. Their focus on practical support, community building, and advocacy aligns perfectly with KGEDC's Community Safety and International Affairs programs. This partnership represents the kind of collaboration that strengthens the entire diaspora community in Ghana.

“When we create spaces for honest dialogue, we reduce fear and increase wisdom. We are grateful to NuGhana Expat Center and to every attendee who showed up with courage, respect, and a desire to build community.”
