KGEDC Expands Board of Directors and Appoints Key Officers
Four new members join the Board of Directors, the appointment of Treasurer & CFO Mariam E. Arkoh is ratified, and two non-Director Officers are named — strengthening KGEDC's leadership as the organization enters a pivotal phase of growth.
Accra, Ghana — April 25, 2026 — Kemetyu Global Economic Development Corporation, LBG (KGEDC LBG) is pleased to announce a significant expansion of its Board of Directors and the appointment of key organizational officers, effective immediately.
New Board Members
The following individuals have been elected to the KGEDC Board of Directors, bringing diverse expertise in international affairs, education, diplomacy, and community development:
Juve Thales Lima, MBA
Board Member
Juve Thales Lima brings extensive international business experience and a deep commitment to economic development across the African continent and its diaspora. His MBA background and global perspective will be invaluable as KGEDC expands its partnerships and programs.
Brandy McDowell, MA
Board Member, Education Chair
Brandy McDowell is an experienced educator and community advocate. As Education Chair, she will lead KGEDC's education initiatives, including school renovations, digital literacy programs, scholarship development, and the HBCU/PBI- Ghana exchange program.
H.E. Amb. Angelique Bartholomew, J.D.
Vice President, External Affairs
Ambassador Angelique Bartholomew brings distinguished diplomatic experience and legal expertise to the Board. As Vice President of External Affairs, she will spearhead KGEDC's government relations, international partnerships, and diaspora engagement strategies.
Edward Perry
Board Member
Edward Perry joins the Board with a strong commitment to community development and empowerment. His experience and dedication will support KGEDC's mission to create lasting impact across our target communities in Ghana.
Ratification of Treasurer & CFO
The Board has ratified the appointment of Mariam E. Arkoh, CA as Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer (CFO). A Chartered Accountant with deep expertise in financial management and nonprofit compliance, Arkoh will oversee KGEDC's financial operations, budgeting, audit procedures, and regulatory reporting as the organization scales its programs and partnerships.
Non-Director Officer Appointments
In addition to the Board expansion, KGEDC has appointed two non-Director Officers to strengthen organizational governance and technology leadership:
Jennifer Womoakor, Esq.
Board Secretary (Non-Director Officer)
An attorney with expertise in corporate governance, Womoakor will serve as Board Secretary, responsible for maintaining corporate records, managing board communications, and ensuring compliance with Ghana's Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).
Ankur Tyagi
Chief Technology Officer (Non-Director Officer)
As CTO, Tyagi will lead KGEDC's technology strategy, including digital infrastructure, AI integration, blockchain initiatives, and the organization's 5-year crypto integration roadmap — ensuring technology serves as a catalyst for development.
A Stronger Foundation for Growth
With these additions, the KGEDC Board of Directors now comprises nine members, supported by two non-Director Officers. The expanded leadership team brings together professionals from the United States, Ghana, and Benin with expertise spanning law, diplomacy, finance, education, technology, international business, and community development.
