Abuburo Nkosuah Foundation Impact Summit (ANFIS) 2026: Traditional Leadership in Action
On Friday, September 18, 2026, I joined diverse stakeholders at the Abuburo Nkosuah Foundation Impact Summit (ANFIS) at ALX Hub, Airport Square, Accra. I attended in my capacity as a traditional leader representing development-centered traditional authority and the values of community-led progress.

The theme for ANFIS 2026 Empowering Communities, Transforming Futures aligns with KGEDC LBGs commitment to community-centred development, measurable outcomes, and partnership over charity.
The Abuburo Nkosuah Foundation Impact Summit (ANFIS) convened leaders from development, academia, traditional and community leadership, the private sector, civil society, and international development to explore practical approaches to sustainable community impact.
The summit was held at ALX Hub at Airport Square, Accra, and featured voices spanning local and international institutions. The convening emphasized collaboration building relationships that can move community priorities from conversation to implementation.

Why traditional leadership presence matters
Traditional authority remains one of the most trusted governance structures at the community level. When traditional leaders are present in development convenings, it strengthens accountability, cultural alignment, and community ownership the three elements that determine whether a project is adopted, protected, and sustained.
- It signals that development is rooted in community consent and cultural protocol
- It helps align external partners with local priorities and realities
- It strengthens stewardship and long-term accountability
- It creates a bridge between diaspora resources and community-led implementation
Alignment with KGEDCs work
At KGEDC LBG, we approach development through our WEIRP platform (Wealth Ecosystem & Investment Readiness Platform) beginning with community assessment (VAF), moving into community-selected implementation (Village-in-a-Box), and strengthening resilience through CRWEP.
Convenings like ANFIS create the relationship infrastructure that makes this work possible: partnerships, knowledge exchange, and shared commitment to measurable outcomes.
When we gather across sectors traditional authority, academia, civil society, private sector, and international partners we create the conditions for real transformation. Community impact is not a moment. Its a system.
