Charmaine E. Betty-Singleton, Esq. serves as Vice President, Governance for Kemetyu Global Economic Development Corporation, LBG (KGEDC LBG). A U.S.-trained attorney with deep expertise in governance, compliance, and organizational policy, she plays a critical role in ensuring that KGEDC's board operations, decision-making, and institutional practices meet the highest standards of accountability and transparency.

Before joining KGEDC's leadership, Charmaine served as an attorney in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, where she gained extensive experience in military law, administrative proceedings, and legal counsel under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Her military service instilled a disciplined, mission-driven approach to leadership that she brings to every aspect of her governance work at KGEDC.

As Vice President of Governance, Charmaine oversees board governance responsibilities, ensuring compliance with Ghana's Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and KGEDC's own constitution and by-laws. She works closely with the Board of Directors to maintain robust governance frameworks, manage organizational policies, and uphold the ethical standards that underpin KGEDC's mission.

Based between the United States and Ghana, Charmaine brings a valuable cross-border perspective to KGEDC's governance structure — bridging U.S. legal standards with Ghanaian regulatory requirements. She is also an investor in Nteasee House B&B, reflecting her personal commitment to KGEDC's social enterprise model and mission-driven development work.
