Brandy McDowell, MA serves as a Board Member and Education Chair for Kemetyu Global Economic Development Corporation, LBG (KGEDC LBG). She is an experienced educator, tutor, and business owner with more than 20 years in the education field and 7+ years as a Special Education teacher.
Brandy currently serves as a 7th/8th Grade Special Education Teacher and Equity Coach at Hamilton Southeastern Schools (FOCUS Day). Her work centers on supporting students with diverse learning needs while strengthening instructional practices that advance equity and inclusion.
She holds an M.A. in Instruction and Curriculum (Grand Canyon University, 2018–2019), a B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education (Grand Canyon University, 2014–2017), and an A.S. in Elementary Education (Ivy Tech Community College, 2010–2013).
Brandy is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., inducted into the Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Indianapolis, IN on April 14, 2019. She is also an active community organizer and member of ISTA/NEA/HSEA. She has served on multiple committees focused on social action, community service, scholarships, marketing, and public relations.
